North Bay Nordic Ski Club Update - December 12, 2020
The North Bay Nordic Ski Club Board of Directors have been working hard to ensure that our club is open, vibrant and most of all SAFE for the upcoming season.
With the latest dump of snow, our trail groomers have been out packing all of the trails. It is amazing how little snow it takes to get everyone asking if the trails are open. Please watch the website or follow North Bay Nordic on Twitter for up-to-date trail conditions.
As everyone knows by now, outdoor activities are one of the safest thing that we can be doing. With the 50 kilomtres of ski trails as well as several kilometers of snow shoe trails, there is plenty of room for social distancing. The only big changes that you will notice this year will be with the indoor spaces.
When you arrive at the Club, we encourage you to come dressed and ready to ski to decrease the number of people in the clubhouse. There will be occupancy guidelines at the door for each building. Please respect these rules as they are for yours as well as other's safety. Also keep an eye out as there will be separate exit and entry signs for the clubhouse. During busy times, you may also see an attendant monitoring the entrance door to make sure that we do not go over our occupancy limit. Please be kind to these individuals as they are working to ensure everyone’s safety. Facial coverings are required while in any building at Nordic. Please also do a self-assessment before attending the club. If you have COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and follow the self-assessment tool.
The snack bar and eating areas will also look a little different. We will not be offering the full menu that we have had in the past, but there will still be quick food and drinks as well as the Nordic cookies! There will be two tables set up in the clubhouse where people can eat/drink without their masks.
It will be a different year at Nordic, but we truly believe it will be one of the greatest where people get out from the confines of their house and into beautiful outdoor wonderland that is great for your mind and body. For more in-depth information, please view our COVID-19 guidelines, screening tool and refund policy.
Please also get your kids registered for JackRabbits quickly as space is running out quickly.
If you have any questions, please send an email as we are happy to help!
Thank you,
