The North Bay Nordic Ski Club invites everyone to come and enjoy the annual Bluesky Loppet. This year we are excited to add a 36 km skate event, children's races both Saturday and Sunday as well as a pulk race. This year the overall award will go to the fastest male and female to compete in both the 36 km skate and 36 km classic events. The ever popular free chili lunch will be provided to racers in the 18 and 36 km classic races on Sunday. 

Bluesky Skate Loppet

12:00 pm Mass Start by Category for 9, 18 and 36 km races (ages 13 and over)

2:30 pm Mass Start by Category for racers 13 and under

The 9 km race will take place on the extended blue trail. The 18 km will be one lap of the green trail. The 36 km will be two laps of the green trail. Feed zones for the 18 and 36 km will be at 11 km, 18km, and 29 km.

Bluesky Classic Loppet

10:00 am Mass Start by Category for 9, 18 and 36 km races (ages 13 and over)

12:30 pm Mass Start by Category for racers 13 and under

Entries for racers over 13 years of age will be accepted online at www.zone4.ca, by email to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it or each day at least 1.5 hrs before race start. For racers under 13 entries will be accepted up to 1 hour before start. The race office will be open at 9:00 am on Saturday and 8:00 am on Sunday.
