Forty to fifty participants helped to officially open the Snowshoe Trails at North Bay Nordic last Saturday. Everyone completed the Beaver Meadow Loop and took time to enjoy the hot chocolate around an open fire along the trial. All ages were represented from two-year-old trampers to senior citizens. 

An impressive number continued to the High Creek Waterfall site and around the entire 4.5 km Ridge at Nordic loop.  No one as yet has uncovered the two geo-caches (treasure hunt prizes) along the trail which will remain in perpetuity.

If you couldn’t make the opening, do consider an alternative day to your normal skiing and check out this new Nordic resource. Rental snowshoes are available at the clubhouse for a nominal cost and there is no charge for members to use the trail. Guests are welcome at a $5.00 trail fee.
