The snowshoe trails are cleared and ready for use this season. There was only minor maintenance that had to be done this year with several small trees to be moved and a bridge to be partially rebuilt. The one exception was a huge deadfall near the east end of the Ridge at Nordic Trail which required minor rerouting around its protruding root system. Many Nordic members have yet to check out these trails. Why not do so one day when ski conditions are not ideal - or when you just want a change of pace? If you don't have your own shoes, rentals are available at the Clubhouse for a reasonable rate. And don't forget that if you have visitors or friends who would be more comfortable walking than skiing this makes a fine alternate activity and can be as easy or as strenuous as you wish.
